What I Always Keep In My Bag

I'm a female. I carry a bag. Everywhere. There are those who can carry the absolute necessary essentials such as wallet, keys, and phone. But then there are those (freaks) like me who have our own essentials that must come with us when we step out into the world. Let's dive in, shall we.

Number One

Lip Balm

Summer or winter, our lips need moisturizing. It's annoying to talk with dry lips and licking them is gross. Knowing that the person I may be speaking with looks at my ragged lips for just a second keeps me feeling anxious. Thinking to my self " why couldn't I just spend a few extra seconds to apply some lip balm to heal these things and make them look decent." Just like wanting everything else on our face to look good, we gotta keep those lips pretty. My all-time face is the Dr.Bronners Organic Lip Balm that I came across at Target while browsing through the mini-travel size section.

Number Two

Lotion

Now, this can be for face, hand, body or all three! But just like with not wanting dry lips, you most definitely want the parts of your body that show to the public eye to be soft and moisturized and smelling pretty. The hand lotion I keep in my purse and backpack is an adorable EOS Berry Blossom Hand Lotion. For my body, I have been using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Body Gel Cream for two years now and I love it.  I swear on everything lol that this is the only moisturizer that has never left any greasiness on me. For my face moisturizer, it changes a lot. I've never stuck to one kind for longer than three months. However, I do have a few favorites such as the Cetaphil Daily Face Moisturizer with SPF 15 and the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel face moisturizer.

Number Three

Hair needs

Shorth or long - hair is hair. Having long hair down and loose while sitting outside trying to have a meal and pieces of hair keep coming close to my mouth, don't even get me started on how annoying that is. Keeping bobby pins and hair elastics is a need for me like water. Sometimes I'll throw in a hair clip if I don't want to tie my hair completely back from my face. Yes, they will get lost at the bottom of my bag and I'll have to look for them but worth it is.

Number Four

Pen/pencil

This depends on the kind of writer or person you are. I like to keep black pens on me always. You never know when you're gonna need to sign something.

Number Five

Planner

Oh, the love I have for my planner! This keeps me organized and I can check things off on it throughout the day. Makes life so much easier. Whether you choose to plan daily, weekly, monthly or by the hour - it will show you what you have to get done and when. It's literally your life schedule in a cute little book.

Number Six

Face wipes

These I personally like to keep both in my bag and car. I really only use these after I've finished working out at the gym or park. I love the Johnsons Hand and Face Wipes. They are suitable for sensitive skin, remove 95% of germs, are hypoallergenic, have a clean free scent and are made without parabens, phthalates, or alcohol. If I can quickly grab a wipe to clean my sweaty face in a few seconds, I will.

Number Seven

Feminine Wipes

I guess these would kinda go along with the face/hand wipes but these are more for freshening up down there. We are beautiful human girls and as human, our bodies go through some weird things, man. If you're anything like me and enjoy staying clean and fresh, why not add that area to the list. The Summer's Eve Cleansing Cloths are the absolute perfect. Not only do I use them for what they're meant for but sometimes, I'll grab one and quickly wipe it over my underarms or chest or belly on a hot, sweaty day.

Number Eight

Mints

This is it, ladies. Keep your breath smelling fresh. Even if you don't like the strong mint taste, get some flavored mints. If that isn't an option and you like chocolate, well hey there are chocolates filled with mints!
